Welcome to the City of Toledo GIS Website!
City of Toledo GIS (Geographic Information Systems) provides assistance to internal City departments and external organizations through assisting in the management of comprehensive mapping technologies, service request and work order management, and providing assistance in improving the workflow of City services. Not only does the City of Toledo GIS provide these services, but also maintains numerous databases of information from the different assets within the City that are used as map production resources to provide realistic, geospatial representation of data within the City.
On this website, you will find many resources that are utilized by City departments and divisions, such as: Water Distribution, Toledo Fire Department, Sewer and Drainage Services, SBH (Streets, Bridges & Harbor), and many others. These resources are here to provide both a centralized location for City departments and divisions to easily access GIS services, while also providing Citizens of Toledo a snapshot of the inner workings of Toledo GIS.

Are there regulations about industrial noise? (DPU/EvS)
The City of Toledo has implemented an anti-noise
law to reduce ambient noise levels in the City. The city recognizes that
this is necessary to preserve, protect, and promote public health. Our
division is responsible for enforcing the industrial Anti-Noise Law,
Chapter 507, Part 5 of the Toledo Municipal Code. This law enforces
noise levels emitted from fixed machinery or equipment, or similar
mechanical devices. Noises that are NOT covered by this law are
residential noise, noise from pets, or loud automobiles. If you have
issues with these, then contact the Toledo Police Department. Our
division only handles noise relating to industrial processes. See Link

Is there a difference between a Storm Sewer and a Sanitary Sewer? (DPU/EvS)
Yes. The sanitary sewer and the storm sewer are
two completely separate drainage systems. The sewer system, or sanitary
wastewater system, takes all household wastewater from toilets showers,
and routes it through your plumbing system into a water treatment
facility. Once there, it receives three levels of filtration treatment
before being discharged. The storm water system, on the other hand, is
intended to route rainwater quickly off impervious surfaces
